Here's an interesting fact about the original team behind Industrial Engraving Services - we were once a control panel manufacturer struggling to find a reliable label supplier!
Despite taking pride in our own workmanship and constructing high quality control panels, we were routinely let down by low quality labels. No matter how good the panels were, if the labels were shoddy, the whole job look sub-standard because the labels were the first thing our clients noticed.
We tried various different label manufacturers but there were always problems - 10-day delays in turnaround time, labels supplied with incorrectly sized holes resulting in our engineers wasting time filing out the holes (it turned out the engraver did not have the correct size cutter/drill!) or just being told they did not want the work as they were busy with trophies and wedding gifts.
Out of shear frustration, we finally bought a second-hand Gravograph IS200 in 2002 and gradually developed the skills to make our own labels in-house. By 2004 we had begun selling engraved labels to our clients and in 2006, with demand growing, IES was established as a stand-alone business.

At Industrial Engraving Services, we only (as our name suggests) serve businesses and industries with engraved labels.
Many of our clients have been buying labels from us for over 20 years – despite an explosion in online shops offering engraving.
